Beth and Tony

What a FUN couple. Their contagious laugh and infectious personalities brightened my Sunday evening. Not that it was going bad or anything, but the day ended on a very good note.

As you can see, they had chosen to have their engagement session done at Marietta Square and not to far away is this really cool white wall we just had to shoot at.

Beth and Tony will be married on June 23rd up in Canton, GA

Enjoy the photos...

I love how the blue jeans seem to pop off the white.

Ann and Simon

This past weekend Melissa and I hung out with Ann, Simon and their two dogs up at Ann's parents house in Marietta, GA for an engagement session. What an amazing home and neighborhood Ann's parents live in. What I truly loved about the neighborhood was the fact the builder did not clear cut the land, but left the trees to give the neighborhood some personality.

We had an awesome time shooting with Ann and Simon and enjoyed seeing their love for one another. The cute couple will be getting married on May 27th at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta, GA

Below you'll find a few of my favorite photos from the day.

Melanie and Brian

Last week I went to Piedmont Park in Atlanta to meet up with Melanie and Brian for their engagement session. Melissa and I will be shooting their wedding on July 7th at Grace United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at Magnolia Hall. How exciting is that.

Enjoy the photos we took at Piedmont Park :)

I just noticed looking at these pictures, how much they love to kiss. hehe

Amy Boyd Maternity Session

CONGRATS to Amy and Mark on their pregnancy.

I loved the location Amy choose to shoot at. The dead surroundings, while Amy's body was creating a life. It couldn't have been more poetic. Enjoy the photos.

The last location had a little more life in the scene.

Kevin and Katie Klinker

Congrats to the newlywed Klinkers! Here are a few of our favorite shots.

I loved this shot because it reminded me of an old bus stop.

I used this wall as a backdrop for the men's photo. While shooting there, I noticed nails along the wall and asked the guys to hang their tux jackets and step out of the frame for this shot.

We learned about the English tradition of "gifting" the bride. The family hangs small gifts on the bride for good luck.

There is something very special about a father and daughter on her wedding day.

This is my favorite dancing shot of the evening. I love how the light skims across the guests.

TN countryside

On our way back from Las Vegas we took advantage of the beautiful day to capture the Tennessee countryside. It seemed like the perfect excuse to try out our new 5D acquired at the WPPI trade show.

Matt and Melissa in Paris (not really)

Melissa and I took a trip late March to WPPI in Las Vegas. It was a photography convention with 14,000 of our closest friends. The speakers were inspiring and the photos from the print competition gave us a healthy dose of humility. We met photographers from all over the country, some with very interesting names (Hi Sticky!). We were so busy, we almost didn't have time to take pictures..........almost.

Ah, Paris at night.

Is she really deep in thought or is she waiting for Matt to take the photo?

Arc d'Triomphe?!

Athens, GA

Back in March Melissa and I needed to get away from Atlanta, so we decided to pack Kai-Lin and the cameras and head to Athens, GA. Melissa had been dying to go there to take some pictures at UGA. I had never been to Athens, so understandably I was very excited to see Athens and UGA. Go Dawgs...

The two nights there ended up being very long nights, because Kai had crying fits due to the uncertainty she felt being in a new place. During the day she was great and we all had a wonderful time together. Hopefully this fall we can make it back to campus on game day and have a tailgate party. Here are a couple pictures we took while there. Enjoy...

I loved how the shadow frames the wooden door here.

This is one of Melissa's favorite buildings on campus. The stairways remind me of an M.C. Escher drawing.

Future Dawg?

The blue sky with the metal steeple was a nice mix.

You can't go to UGA without seeing Sanford Stadium, and take a picture or two.

The rest of the photos are a parent's indulgence.
