We absolutely adore Casen and Anthony. They had a beautiful winter wedding at the Georgian Terrace Hotel. After the reception we had the opportunity to go up to the roof and take a few more portraits of the new Mr. and Mrs. (or in this case Dr. and Dr.) which were really fun and playful. Everything ran perfectly thanks to Erica Prewett at A Big To Do Events. We wish nothing but the best for Anthony and Casen and thank you again for making a lovely day feel so effortless.

Lindsay and Danny's E-Session | Atlanta

I LOVE night sessions, even when it's 38 degrees and the wind is blowing up to 45 mph. Yes, cold, but I had a blast in the fresh air. I even received a grande hot chocolate from Starbucks to warm up after the session. Can't beat that! A huge thank you to Danny for setting this all up and making sure we had no run ins with the Atlanta police. I did however have a light stand hit me on it's way down. No umbrella or soft box was being used at the time, just a 580EX. It was that windy. Melissa and I are looking forward to their Georgian Terrace wedding this August. It will definitely be warmer.

Amy & Charles | Primrose Cottage

What a day! It was filled with everything a wedding should be, happy tears, beautiful flowers, a gorgeous bride, and a great party! We had such a great time with Amy and Charles. Between the ceremony and the evening reception, we had time to stroll around downtown Roswell and find some unique spots for photos. Our favorite was the antique store where we photographed Amy in a rack of wedding dresses (we also took advantage of a display of old cameras, go figure). We also loved their send off - the air filled with paper airplanes. We are so happy to have been a part of this day and wish Charles and Amy a wonderful life together filled with many adventures.

Amy and David | Augusta, GA

It's always an honor and a pleasure when another photographer choses you (and it can make you a little nervous). We had the privilege of photographing David and Amy at the beautiful First Presbyterian Church in Augusta, GA. It has so much history and is a great setting for a wedding. The flowers were beautiful and the personal touches made this a true reflection of David and Amy. We loved the ice sculpture at the reception - a lovely cross that represented not only their faith, but the foundation on which they will build a marriage. We wish them many blessings for their future together.

Dorine and Andy | Primrose Cottage

Love can be so sweet the second time around. Dorine and Andy found each other through an online group for people that enjoy exercising. Andy loves to cycle and Dorine soon found out that she loves cycling and Andy as well. The rest they say, is history. Five years later and here we are - very lucky to be with them as they join together as man and wife. We wish them and their newly united family a wonderful and prosperous life together.

Beth & Keith | Los Angeles | Engagement Session

Los Angeles. It's the place where Matt and I met, fell in love and got married. The city is filled with happy memories for both of us and it was beyond awesome to be able to go back and visit beloved places and friends. Beth and Keith have a similar story. She is from Atlanta and he is from Baton Rouge, LA. They also met and fell in love in Los Angeles and we went to shoot at places that had meaning for both of them. We started at the UCLA campus where Beth is working on her doctorate (Go Bruins!). We then moved to Venice Beach near where they met and enjoyed this wonderfully eclectic part of the city. We ended the session at Santa Monica Beach - a place immortalized in numerous movies. It was so much fun to spend the day with Keith and Beth and we are very grateful we were able to shoot their engagement session in such a wonderful city. We already know their wedding on Jan 28th at the Georgian Terrace is going to be great! Thank you both so much!

Nick and Shannon | Athens, GA

We had a great time with Nick and Shannon. It was a beautiful fall day and just being outside was amazing. They had a really lovely ceremony overlooking the lake and golf course at the Athens Country Club, so many great places to shoot there. While the Country Club is great, the ice cream truck at the reception was a big hit. Many thanks to Ginny Wilson whose wedding coordinating efforts made the day run incredibly smooth. We wish Nick and Shannon all the best and feel they are quite lucky to be surrounded by so many great friends and family.

Emily and Lee | Atlanta, GA | Engagement Session

Emily and Lee are an affectionate, fun-loving couple. It was love at first sight and the two have been together ever since. Fall in Atlanta is beautiful and we had such a good time exploring the city for their engagement session. It was also great to have pics from the afternoon and night-time shots. The same location can have a dramatically different look after the sun sets. We are looking forward to the wedding on March 17th of next year - what a beautiful bride Emily will be!

Alyssa and Jason | Primrose Cottage, Roswell

Some people are easy to love and you feel good just being around them. Alyssa and Jason are two of that rare breed. Their happiness, easygoing nature, and love for those around them definitely light up a room. Together, they make a great team. We had a lot of fun taking pictures and documenting their wedding day at Primrose Cottage in Roswell. The maid of honor and the best man had the most unintentionally funny speeches (think unplanned double entendres) we have heard in awhile - watch for the pics where everyone is cracking up. Also - we want to give a shout out to Infinity Show Band. Awesome! Double Awesome! (Did we mention they are great?) We wish Alyssa and Jason a lifetime of happiness together. Thank you both so much for choosing us as your photographers, it truly was an honor!

Jessica and Matt | The Georgian Terrace Hotel

We love these guys! We had the pleasure of spending time with Jessica and Matt in Chicago when we shot their engagement session and it felt like being with old friends on their wedding day. We traveled to several different places with the wedding party and really enjoyed using not only The Georgian Terrace Hotel and Christ the King Church where they had their reception and ceremony respectively, but incorporating the Fox Theater and Piedmont Park as well. We love shooting weddings because it highlights the things we value so much in life - the love between husband and wife and the friends and family with whom life is shared. This was especially evident at Jessica and Matt's wedding. We watched their faces light up the room when seeing and visiting with those around them. And, let's not forget the way their faces light up with each other. We wish them all the best in the days to come! Congratulations Jessica and Matt - it was so lovely to be a part of your wedding!

Lauren and Yoann's Wedding

Lauren and Yoann have such a great story. If you saw their engagement post, you know that he is from Nice, France, she from Fayetteville, GA and they were brought together by dentistry. Their wedding was awesome - we loved the international flavors of the day. Literally. Instead of a groom's cake, they had a pyramid of delicious french pastries. Matt had a great time hanging out with the groomsmen as they enjoyed their stogies (a theme that would reappear later in the day - this time with the girls involved). In a wry sense of the humor, these two dentists had a candy table at the entrance of the reception and toothbrushes as favors. We think they have pretty good start to marriage with an international network of friends and family that wish them all the best. We also extend our wishes for a happy life together no matter where they may be.

Ben and Kartini Get Married

We love hearing how our couples met. In this case, it seemed that there were huge obstacles that needed to be overcome for Ben and Kartini not only to meet, but create this beautiful relationship. She is from Aruba and he is from Georgia. She went to university in the Netherlands, he is currently working on his doctorate in North Carolina. You never know the plans God has for you or where they might take you. We celebrate Kartini and Ben and their commitment to each other. It was such a joy to see these two together and the wonderful and diverse family and friends that support them. The Hazlehurst House provided a beautiful backdrop and we loved every minute. Lauren and Yoann are getting married this Sat! We are so excited for them! Yoann is French and it was wonderful to capture this couple as they come to the end of their long distance relationship and start a new life together. Melissa and Zach had a beautiful wedding. We loved the interior of the church and had a lot of fun taking pictures of the limo as they traveled from the church to Atlanta National Golf Club. It involved Matt leaning out of the window of our car with the 70-200 lens. The risks were worth it. At the reception, Groovetown provided awesome music and the guests all had a great time. Calie - Class of 2012

Julie & Jeff say "I Do" at Reynolds Plantation

Occasionally, I have the opportunity to 2nd shoot with my dear friends at other weddings. In this case I was blessed to spend the whole day with my friend Nam Nguyen, and when I mean whole day I mean it. I didn't get home until 3AM. Thanks to Nam, I was introduced to 5 hr energy drink. All I can say is Yuck! Never again, Buddy!

One of my favorite moments during the day was when a young girl from the pool crossed the ceremony site to get to the hammocks - while the Groom was walking his parents in. The parents of the child watched in horror as their little girl was completely unaware of what was happening.

A huge congratulations to Julie and Jeff and thank you for your hospitality.
