As the saying goes - Even the best laid plans go awry. First, Matt was diagnosed with the flu 3 days before the wedding; then we were under a tornado warning for most of the day on Saturday. Our good friend Chris Torres from 6 of Four Creations was kind enough to help us shoot and provided lots of support. I felt so much better knowing he was there. Even though the tornado sirens went off several times while we were shooting, the weather ended up cooperating and no one ended up in Oz with Dorothy and Toto. For Lindsay and Brandon, it was a beautiful affair. We wish you both clear skies and calm weather for your life together. Congratulations!
For a grandmother who told us she didn't smile well, Chris was able to capture a wonderful moment here.
This was Lindsay's cherished bunny as a child. One time her father (a fire chief) sent the police to retrieve her bunny after she accidentally left it behind. It was such a big part of her childhood, her parents presented it to her on her wedding day to be with her as became a bride.
As you can see in the next four photos, people where having a wonderful time at the reception.

Shooting with Sara Speert
This past weekend I had the chance to second shoot with my dear friend Sara Speert at the Renaissance-Waverly. It was a nice change of pace to second shoot and not having the pressure to be the lead photographer. It took some time for me to get use to it, but eventually I found my way. The great thing about being a second is that you have more opportunities to try different things to see if they work. Thank you Sara for the great time.
The hotel was kind and let us place Mandi and Mark up on the check-in counter. The guests weren't phased a bit.

Keisha and Jeff
We did Keisha and Jeff's engagement photos is Keisha's hometown of Cartersville. What's great about downtown Cartersville are all the fun alleyways. A note of history: the Coca-Cola mural advertisement is the oldest in the nation! Keisha and Jeff were great sports as we trekked around the area. We look forward to their June wedding in Carrollton.

Haley and Daryl
Haley and Daryl drove up from Augusta to have their engagement session in Atlanta. We had a wonderful time with the urban setting and shot at several locations around the Fox Theatre. On April 19th they will have an outdoor wedding followed by a reception at a local tavern - a very unique, nontraditional affair for a very unique, nontraditional couple.
