Sneak Peaks!

We have been so blessed to be so busy! Here is a sneak peak from the weddings of Amy and Sean, and Kirsten and Stephan. More to follow later!

Andrew and Lauren's E-Session

We are so excited for 2010! It's great couples like Andrew and Lauren that make our job so much fun. We took a trip to Euharlee, GA (it's near Cartersville in case you were wondering) for their engagement photos. There is a beautiful covered bridge there along with a creek and a park. We took advantage of it all. I especially appreciate their willingness to endure a bit of dizziness to get the shot at the park. (What are those spinning things called anyway?) Congratulations to Andrew and Lauren; we can't wait for the big day!

Kristen's Bridal Portraits

I've been dying to post this session. Kristen wanted me to wait until after her wedding to reveal her bridal portraits so we wouldn't ruin the surprise of her dress for her fiance (now husband), Stephan. What a beautiful gown and what a beautiful bride! A big thank you to Brooke and her family for letting us shoot in their home. It was a perfect setting. Kristen and Stephan just had their wedding on Nov.14, so stay tuned to see more!

Introducing Addison!

It's so neat to see families begin and grow. I had the pleasure of photographing Amanda and Jeff's wedding, and now I've had the great pleasure of photographing their daughter, Addison. How special and fleeting is the newborn period. For Amanda and Jeff: we wish you nothing but the best for your precious family and can't wait to see what the future holds for all of you!

Thad and Amy's E-session

I had a wonderful time with Amy and Thad at Stone Mountain. The fall colors were awesome and it was a great day to be outside. Although it was dark a little before I had anticipated due to the time change and the position of the great Stone Mountain, it made for fun with the off camera flash. Ashley and Michael at Primrose

A big thank you to Ashley and Michael for letting us photograph their wedding. We were able to spend the entire day with them from the bridal luncheon to the final dance. It was such an honor. The candlelight ceremony at Primrose Cottage was beautiful and very intimate. We wish them best wishes for the years to come.

Josh and Katie's E-Session

Can I just say I love this couple. In many ways, they remind me of Melissa and myself. Their carefree spirit and love for each other is infectious. It was very easy to get great shots.

Athens is a fun town and a wonderful place to shoot. I am not alone in my feelings about Athens; the day we shot we saw eight other couples having engagement sessions. I actually ran into one of my photographer friends (Hi Jessica!).

I look forward to shooting their wedding that will take place on April 24 at the Marietta Country Club.

Scott and Stephanie's E-Session

Scott and Stephanie are finishing up their last year at UGA, so the campus was a perfect place for their engagement session. We ended up going to dinner at the East West Bistro after the shoot and had a great time with great conversation. We really look forward to their wedding at Flint Hill in June 2010.

Ella Wills at 3 months

I got together recently with Shala to shoot her daughter's 3 month session. It amazes me how quickly children grow and develop. How I wish we had a pause or slow motion button for our lives. Children are so precious - especially the beautiful Ella.

Michael and Kristi Wed

The best laid plans never did run smooth. However, the unplanned rain didn't stop Michael and Kristi from having a beautiful wedding and reception. Before the ceremony, we were able to take photos outside of Kristi, and we loved the dark dramatic clouds. By the time we got to Michael, there was thunder, lightning and torrents of rain. Although it was Plan B, Kristi looked beautiful coming down the staircase inside with her 10 ft train behind her. We wish them a long, happy marriage that will weather any storms they encounter.

Right before the rain

And immediately after

Possibly my favorite Groom's cake of all time. Not only was this cake amazing to look at, but it was a delicious Key Lime flavor. Yum!

Best Wishes for the happy couple!

A day at the fair

This is one of our favorite engagement sessions. Will and Meryt met up with us last friday night at the North Georgia State Fair. Meryt had never been to a fair before, and it wasn't quite what she expected. However, we soon fell under the spell of the fair. We rode rides, played games, and ate cotton candy. While we were excited about them riding in the red car on the ferris wheel, Meryt was not so excited about the ride. In fact she was a little terrified. She recovered quickly and then we rode the carousel. We had so much fun and are excited for their wedding next year.

Keith and Lesley tie the knot at Primrose Cottage

Melissa and I had the honor of photographing Keith and Lesley on their wedding day at Primrose Cottage. The day ended up spectacular even though it rained and the ceremony had to be moved indoors. Luckily when the reception ended the rain had subsided and we went the the Mill down the road to shoot a few more couple shots. We wish you both the very best and it was a pleasure working with you this past year.

Also, congrats to Primrose Cottage for their newly renovated house. It looks awesome.

Taylor and Lauren Marry!

It's all in the family. This gorgeous bride is Melissa's cousin, Lauren. We had such a good time shooting their wedding - every detail held such meaning for us as well as Lauren and Taylor. I loved seeing her in her mother's wedding dress and veil and the chuppah that contained quilt squares made by different family members. Lauren and Taylor are very environmentally conscious and they took great care to make sure all the flower arrangements and centerpieces were made out materials that could be reused or eaten. Thank you both for letting us be such a big part of your wedding day - what a wonderful way to add to our family memories! We love you and wish you nothing but happiness.

P.S. Check out that flower girl! (It's our daughter, Kai-Lin)

Ashley's Bridal Portraits

I met up with Ashley at Primrose the other day to photograph her bridal portraits. Her mother and future mother-in-law were there to help and at times got a little emotional thinking about the big day. Ashley is wearing a beautiful Priscilla of Boston wedding gown that looks absolutely fabulous on her. Of course I'm looking forward to her and Michael's wedding on Oct. 10th.

Sean and Amy's Engagement Session at Berry College

I love going to Berry College to shoot engagement sessions except for the 1000 or so mosquitoes that ended up having a field day on my legs. Other than that I had a blast working with Sean and Amy and look forward to their Nov. 7th wedding.
