Ben and Crystal

We met Ben and Crystal fairly early in the morning at Piedmont Park. We thought it was early, but a race had just finished when we got there, so our perspective changed a little bit. Also, as we arrived, the Atlanta Bomb Squad was leaving. Not sure what that was all about, but I'm glad they were leaving and not arriving. Piedmont Park is beautiful and there are always a lot of photographers there - it's fun seeing other photographers at work. We had a great time, it felt like the creative juices were flowing, and Ben and Crystal were great sports. Right at the beginning, they were willing to get really close to a rugby team to get the shot we wanted. That alone I respect and applaud (boy, those rugby players were BIG). We are looking forward to their Biltmore Wedding on August 2nd.

Tim and Jessica

Tim and Jessica are a fun-loving couple. We did their engagement session at Cheatam Hill in Kennesaw. The afternoon is my favorite time of day. The time when the sun is about to set and the world gets quiet for a moment. Both Tim and Jessica were relaxed and made for great models. By the time we ended the session, they looked like pros! We are looking forward to their wedding on October 18th.

Our Friends Alana and Tom!

Once upon a time, Matt and I lived in Los Angeles. That feels the appropriate way to start, because our LA years now feel like a nice dream I once had. We have some wonderful, adventurous friends that we met there, among them, Alana. Since we left LA, Alana has since moved to Washington DC where she met Tom. I remember having conversations with Alana about 'the man I want to end up with.' And now, here they are. This was the first time that Matt and I shot the wedding of a close friend. I get a little misty eyed looking at the photos; because it's my friend, and she looks soooo happy and content. And as we get to know Tom better, we realize how good a match they are. To Alana and Tom, we wish you wonderful adventures traveling the world together and leaving your mark wherever you go! Mazel Tov!

Tom with his new niece.

It looks like we set this up, but Tom has been shaking trees over Alana this entire spring.

Sexy!

Other LA friends - John and Rachel Snowden. John was the minister for the ceremony. Not pictured is Baby Snowden, who will make his appearance in August.

Yeah, we stole a dance!

Miranda Olsen Class of 2009

Senior Pictures are so cool! Soon our website will be growing and expanding as we add a totally new high school senior site. Our debut senior is Miranda Olsen from Harrison High School. I can't tell you how much fun we had with Miranda. She was beautiful, full of personality and a great sport about hiking through a field in her prom dress and high heels. When Matt and I got in the car to go home our first words to each other were: 'Wow! When can we do that again?' As it turns out, it's not going to be that long, so stay tuned!

Gilmer Family Pics

We met Lindsey Gilmer at a wedding we did a few weeks ago and were excited when she asked if we would take pictures of her family. Her family is tied to the Coca Cola Company, so where else would we take a few pictures but in front of the very first Coca-Cola mural located in Cartersville. Families are always changing - growing, moving. I love family portraits because they are a memory marker. A moment in time dividing before and after.

Daryl and Haley Get Married

All weddings are emotional, but it's not often that the photographer gets teary at the wedding. Haley and Daryl had a very personal and intimate wedding in Augusta, GA. Very cool shooting sites at the brick building being renovated at the courtyard where the ceremony took place. Their personalities were reflected in all of the details truly making it a special and unique day. We wish Haley and Daryl all the best - may their life together be as special and unique as their wedding.

Our version of 'American Gothic'

They didn't plan a formal exit from the reception, but somehow in discussing their wedding we got on the subject of using a champagne bottle to spray up in the air. It was so much FUN!
